For patients living with kidney failure, dialysis is not a one-time treatment—it is a lifeline. Missing even a few sessions can have life-threatening consequences. Yet for many families, the rising cost of treatment forces an impossible choice between healthcare and everyday survival.
The Kidney Dialysis Unit at UVIN CARE Hospital had long been a source of hope for underprivileged patients, providing dialysis at an affordable cost of just ₹600 per session. However, financial constraints threatened the continuation of this vital service. Without immediate support, patients would have been forced to seek treatment at nearby hospitals where each dialysis session cost nearly ₹1,400—an expense beyond the reach of many low-income families.
Recognizing this urgent need, the Rotary Club of Bangalore Ulsoor joined hands with its CSR partner, Commvault Systems Pvt. Ltd., to ensure that no patient was denied life-saving care because of financial hardship.
Through a generous CSR contribution of approximately ₹6,00,000, the project enabled deserving patients to receive dialysis completely free of charge. What began as financial assistance quickly became a source of renewed hope for countless families struggling to cope with the burden of chronic kidney disease.
The support did more than fund medical procedures—it restored dignity and peace of mind. Patients who had worried about how they would afford their next treatment could now focus on their health and recovery. Families no longer had to borrow money, sell valuables, or sacrifice essential household needs to keep their loved ones alive.
Every dialysis session represented more than medical care; it meant another opportunity for a father to return home to his children, another day for a mother to care for her family, and another chance for elderly patients to continue living with comfort and dignity.
